Queen of Kaboso and her cubs at early morning play time

7 February 2018

It was early morning when we spotted the amazing leopard Kaboso bringing her cubs to the big open space to play for about 20 minutes.

Despite the fact that more cars came in to see them, they did not seem to care about the big crowd and put on a fantastic show.

The leopard, Queen of Kaboso, or more simply, the Kaboso female leopard is a relaxed female whose territory is on the edge of the Maasai Mara National Reserve in the Kaboso area.

She is currently raising a litter of two cubs. Her son, Blue Eyes from a previous litter, is also often seen in the area.

She is a fantastic mother, and I hope we will see lots of Leopard generations brought up by her in Masai Mara.
